Hellooooo! Where did all the films go? Honestly, I feel like there hasn’t been a new film come out since Lion King. Not even on DVD? Where’s all the films gone? There’s been a massive gap in my weekend schedule where all my cinema visits should be!

The next big film for me is in the middle of August! Someone needs to sort out these release dates because I’m not happy. The good thing about this selection of films is that you won’t be surrounded by children. Yes, schools out but they won’t be in your cinema screen.

There’s a few films to look out for this month but I think it won’t be till September when things liven up at the cinema again. Let’s see what’s on shall we….

Blinded By The Light

Following suit from Danny Boyle’s Yesterday, we have another film dedicated to another music icon….Bruce Springsteen. Personally, not a huge fan of Springteen. My mum is? Maybe it’s just not for my generation?

Approximate release date 9th August

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Hell. Yes. Brad Pitt, Leonardo Di Caprio and Margot Robbie in a Quentin Tarantino film. What’s not to like? I didn’t even need to know the story line. I’ll be watching this asap.

Approximate release date 16th August

Good Boys

Superbad but with kids? What? Is that legal? They’re not even old enough to watch their own movie???

Approximate release date 16th August

Angel Has Fallen

How has this become a franchise? Honestly, I don’t really care that much as it’s just an excuse to watch Gerard Butler. Any excuse to watch him is a good excuse.

Approximate release date 23rd August

Crawl

Hurricane makes flood. Crocodile rides the flood. Crocodile enters a house and tries to eat Kaya Scodelario. OK. I’ll go for that. I haven’t seen a thriller in such a long time and I’m hoping it’s better than my description

Approximate release date 23rd August

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark

A horror film! Excellent! It actually looks really scary too from the trailer but I’ve been burnt before on trailers lately so hopefully this is a good scary jumpy film that’ll enjoy. I’ll report back!

Approximate release date 23rd August
