4 SPOOKY FILMS TO WATCH THIS SEPTEMBER

This September is looking like a pre Halloween warm up. We’ve got some scary, spooky and horror films to enjoy this month. Horror is one of my favourite genres so I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot this month. There’s two films in particular I’m very intrigued to watch. Let spooky September commence.

SEARCHING

This film takes on a different angle to your conventional films. It consists of computer screen shots, webcams and self shooting. It’s very much in the style of Unfriended which most people didn’t enjoy. However, the story line is completely different. It’s not a teen horror flight for one. It’s based around a father using the internet to find his daughter who’s gone missing. With a twist at the end…you might not see coming. They’re the best kind of films.

OUT NOW

THE NUN

I love the Conjuring movies. Before the Conjuring and before Anabelle, there was a messed up Nun. I can’t wait to watch this film, even though I will probably be hiding my eyes through most of it. It looks super spooky and right up my Elm Street.

Approximate release date 7th September

THE PREDATOR

I’m not a massive Predator fan. If it was a toss up between Predator or Alien in the franchise games then Alien will win every time. I think this film hit it’s peak with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first film and that’s hard to carry on from. However, I know there’s a lot of hardcore Predator fans out there so this one is for you.

Approximate release date 14th September

THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN IT’S WALL

One for the family and the Jack Black fans. Nothing too scary like the the rest of the films on this list but something for the kids to enjoy. It’s a bit silly, a bit kooky and very witchy. Think of it like…if Sabrina was a 10 year old boy. There’s not Salem the Cat either so I’m not on board with this.

Approximate release date 21st September
