TrekAmericaI can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since my last trek and 2 years since my 1st one! If your new to my blog, in 2016 I did a cross country trip across America on the Southern BLT and last year I went to Canada on the Glaciers + Grizzlies Plus tour. Both equally amazing but completely different adventures.

I’ve been itching to book my next TrekAmerica tour but I couldn’t decide which one. I had a few choices from all over the Americas. Hawaii was one of my favourites but I was struggling to find cheap flights. I think I might have another look at this later in the year when it’s out of Hurricane season. Another was Alaska, but I’ve had enough of freezing cold weather. Again, maybe next year. I was also thinking of Mexico or doing the Inca Trial but for medical reasons I’ve had to put that aside for now.

I wanted a trek that goes to somewhere I’ve never been before. I wanted to go somewhere I felt comfortable in. It had to have lots of activities as I am not your bucket and spade type of girl. Lastly, it has to be Instagram worthy. Lots of amazing scenery so I can go crazy with my camera and improve my photography.

So which tour did I pick?

This year, I’m going on……

That’s right…I’m going camping! Me? Camping? It’s going to be hilarious! Everyone knows I’m very keen on my creature comforts and love my bed over all things. Therefore, sleeping in a tent for most nights is going to a very different experience.

This trip starts in New York and ends in LA. However, I used to live and work in California so I’ll be ending the trip in San Fran instead. I know, cue the violins right? I’ve also got to get back to work. 20 days holiday is a long time away from work. I was lucky to get this off work at all.

I’m so excited about this trip. It goes to about a dozen northern states and most of them are new states which I’ve never been to before. This will add to my current 23 states I’ve visited to be well over the half way mark to my goal of all 50 states.

The places I’m the most excited to visit are:

I’m also excited to do lots of the activities like the Maid of the Mist, the Cody Rodeo, The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and check out all the National Parks.

It’s an epic trip which I’ve wanted to do since I did the Southern BLT back in 2016. June can’t come quick enough. I’ll once again be vlogging the trips so be prepared for more TrekAmerica vlogs. Let’s do this!

WHOA!!! This sounds INCREDIBLE! I cannot wait to keep up with your travels – I had the best time camping, but would suggest you bring washable flip flops for the showers, haha! 🙂 xxx

This is the exact trek I want to do next year! I’ve done group tours before but not been with Trek America before. Could you tell me what it is you like about the company so much? Looking forward to the vlogs! 🙂

Hi Rebecca, I love the itineries and the organisation. I just feel very relaxed and safe. We fit so much into such a small amount of time. Both trips so far have been incredible. I’m really excited to do some more exploring with them.
